Really enjoyed the place, had a fine stay in a nice town. We had a cosy and new-fashioned room with smoke detectors. - the location of the hotel was marvellous - approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Parque de Ferrera.

The hotel looks almost new. The room, the staff and the price were all good. Free Wifi was nice - and fast. The location, a few minutes walk from the pedestrian-friendly old part of the city. I was working for a few days at ArcelorMittal Steel, the largest employer in Avilés, and have suggested that they add El Magistral to their list of hotels recommended for visitors.

The room was quite small - but good value for the price we paid via Booked.net. The restaurant was good for breakfast but had limited menu for other meals - but there are many restaurants and bars within short walking distance.

The hotel was just next door to the town centre, Niemeyer Centre and estuary, harbour and old town, and the bus station thanks to its peaceful location. A cool bonus was nearby Cafe Lord Byron, that offered tea and coffee.

The location here was quiet and absolutely perfect, at a medium distance from a beautiful park, and we were very happy with our twin room.

The place was fairly clean, I booked the double room with inner courtyard views, everything was perfectly fine. The restaurant was pretty good at a good price, I tried AMAZING dishes. Comfy beds, central heating, a multi-channel TV, and a writing desk were a nice touch.

A brand new hotel, very helpful staff, excellent room, very big and comfortable. The hotel has a free minibar on each floor. It is in the perfect position to visit the city, it's two minutes from the town square. It is also near to the Niemeyer centre.

Relative to the price: - the room was cramped - the room desk was shoddy - no fridge - room was hot and stuffy when we arrived - air conditioning was not very responsive - outside of hotel is grim All of this would not have mattered if the price had not been so high.
